Crowd-sourcing consists of gathering a mass of people to seek out new ideas or solutions, and paying profits to seekers and solvers, related to crowd-sourcing there is crowd-funding, a bottom-up model of financing.

CMAT strongly believes in crowd-funding as a possible strategy to cope with lack of investments in research. We plan to start in the near future with an online repository of projects seeking for funding. each project will include a short description of its objectives, duration and requested contribution. Either people or funding agencies can decide which projects to fund. At this moment we are working very hard to build a system of creative commons Licenses. Investors will be motivated by the prospect of earning shares for profit making programs or by acknowledgment of their contribution in case of a non profit research program.

A first group of project ideas are listed under 'invitation to projects'
